It's Nice to Meet You!
I grew up sewing. I was lucky enough to be taught to sew by my Aunt who is an amazing sewist! I use to sew my own clothes in high school and my babies clothes when they were little. As life got away from me, I ended up stepping away from my sewing machine for quite a few years. Now, that my kids are older and my life has slowed down a little. I have more time to commit back to one of my first loves, sewing!
During those busy years, I went to Tech school and I have a Degree in Automotive and Diesel Technology. Mechanical things have always fascinated me. So when I was given the chance to learn how to service one of the machines I truly love, the Sewing Machine.... I jumped at the chance! I'm in an Apprentice program with The Sewing Doc Academy. It is a virtual online learning school for sewing machine servicing. Technicians are is short supply now adays and this program is helping people like me learn how to become techs on all brands of machines and to run our own small businesses.
